We provide “Trustworthy AI” with appropriate use of white box and black box technologies Many of today's mainstream AI technologies rely on black box models, which make it challenging to explain the rationale behind their outputs. On the other hand, in areas such as human decision making, problem solving, and research and development, the white box approach that can interpret and explain the mechanisms leading to the output is important. We believe that “human lead with good intentions” is indispensable for solving social issues, and AI technology should play a good supporting role.
