Problem statement

An AI early-warning layer for marketing & communications compliance: ingests content from digital channels, benchmarks it against the full legal and policy landscape (sharpened by past cases), and flags risks with legal basis, evidence and recommended action – competent functions approve every final decision. Today: - Marketers must navigate many global and local guidelines and regulations across campaigns, promotions, packaging and everyday decisions. - Checking is manual, fragmented and time-consuming. - Artwork and labels go through multiple review rounds with RA, Legal and Packaging teams to validate claims, ingredients, mandatory declarations and artwork compliance. - All published posts and documents are reviewed manually.

Expected outcomes and success metrics

- Signs of potential violations detected faster and better across advertising, communication and marketing activities – measured by review time and coverage of the content reviewed. - Fewer review rounds and less rework, with faster approvals and speed to market. - Fewer issues reaching the market and stronger protection of company reputation. - A living compliance knowledge base that keeps expertise in the organisation as teams change.

Target users and impacted teams

- Marketers and Brand teams across all BUs - Legal and Corporate Affairs - RA (Regulatory Affairs) and Packaging teams - CMS (Communication & Marketing Services)

Data availability and readiness

- Ads, images and videos (BUs, Sales) - Artwork files, approved claims library, previous approved pack designs, brand guidelines - Company policies & guidelines (Legal, CA, CMS) - Regulations over time (Legal) Note: Synthetic data could be potentially provided during the process, upon approval of the Nestlé team and in compliance with data law.

Integration, deployment and infrastructure

To be determined Note: Nestlé's current environment includes Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Copilot. Solutions that can work with this environment are welcome, and final integration and deployment requirements will be confirmed with the Nestlé team.
